Eclectus's are a larger parrot. They come from the tropical south pacific. They are known for their dimorphic (male and female don't look alike) appearance. The male is a very bright green with beautiful blue under the wing, while the female is red with a blue apron. We have the Solomon Island subspecies. Eclectus's challenge the African Grey in their ability to speak and imitate sounds. They have an uncanny way of imitating even then nuances they hear, making them very humorous. They are extremely smart and can easily learn any number of tricks. To learn more about this wonderful parrot check out: www.landofvos.com Eclectus Information June/2003 Babies
