Video of Sunshine bathing. Sun Conures are wonderful companion parrots. They are very curious pets, making them very active birds. They enjoy being with their flock, and as their owner, you're it. Yes, they do call out loudly in search for 'missing' flock members, but never for very long and they love it if you simply answer them back. (They never get as loud as Cockatoos.) Their coloring is very spectacular, adding to their attraction. They can learn to speak and have a gravely sounding voice. (Although Sunkist is a breader hen she still likes to say hello when we walk into the aviary.) Sun Conures are about 12 inches long from head to tail. They are hardy birds. They make a great first time bird for those looking for their first companion parrot.
